Did you know that Long Beach ska legends Sublime are back--sort of? The surviving band members have recently regrouped with new vocalist Rome Ramirez, only they can't perform under their old name--it belongs to the late Bradley Nowell's estate. So they slapped their new singer's name onto the band name and now perform as Sublime with Rome. Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but it's good to see these guys up and running for another round. They did, after all, write my second-favorite song about rape (after Nirvana's "Rape Me", of course). In honor of Sublime 2.0, I present the video for the excellent "Date Rape".
